Young one was competing in the PN, such a lovely day out! The setting is so beautiful.

Anyway he was a very good boy

In the dressage he got 34 but made a few mistakes, he did canter to walk instead of canter to trot, medium trot instead of working trot across diagonal and rein back instead of halt! Luckily he floats and is pretty, he was good though, just needed a busier test.
SJ was small bar two oxer's, and he was very keen and was not going to back off! had the last two down which was a shame but he rushed and went too speedy gonzalez.
(very strangely it has come up 12pens on the results?! oh well! Lorry has 'issues' in the morning and arrived 1 hour after his test had started so organizers were very kind to fit him in so i'm not complaining!)
XC- flew round like an old pro, and found it very easy. Got some super pics of him too...

Excellent!

Sounds like a pretty good day and good dressage mark despite the mistakes so am guessing lots of improvement to come. What are next plans with him? When do you plan to take over the ride?

I think he is at Milton Keynes PN then Keysoe and Aston Novice. Exams over middle of May so maybe then although he could possibly be for sale to help fund other one. very sad.

Hoping to go to Martinvast 1* if not.

Well done, if you get 34 with a few mistakes you got to be looking at mid 20's when it all goes right. How old is your baby?

Yes he is. He is a bit of a dude but lets just hope he can curb his enthusiasm, he is really loving this eventing business!

Yes, I was skiving Uni to watch (unimportant lecture, honest!) He is entered for one more PN and then some novice's I think, hopefully the bigger fences will back him off as he was getting rather keen on the XC and noticed T taking a few big pulls!

HEHE! nice feeling around Hambledon when the horses are taken the fences on.

Of course it was an important lecture

Are the bluebells out? may wander over to watch the intermediate.

Yes blue bells out in their full glory, hoping to go tomorrow too to watch a few friends competing which means if its nice out comes the BBQ!
