We had some horses loose on the road last night and I have to say the police were fabulous. Lisa ( equine unit Fareham) and Ann closed the road and we walked them back to safety. At all times the care of the ponio's was paramount so ladies

Glad they didn't get hurt! Were they let out? My parents live in Hants and someone broke the fencing down into the yard and then one of the fields and 2 of the ponies escaped onto the road - they did another yard the same night.

We had someone break our fencing about 2 weeks ago at night, luckilly no horses were in the padocks and i noticed it because i walk and i come in the back way there were also tyre tracks going into the field so i think someone had meant to steal them. Luckilly no horses had been turned out that morning (before we got the fence fixed) its right onto a main road so they could have been really hurt.

If you haven't done so already, an email or a letter in to Hants Constabulary would go down a treat... The Police are constantly in the press for the bad things, so it'd be nice for them to receive some praise (especially as I'm sure that they are too busy to check HHO!!!
