My mare had a skin condition on her face that I managed to get cleared up; but now that the hair has grown back it looks a bit unsightly! She was clipped when I got her and seeing as I don't have any clippers, the long, darker hairs on her face have to come off! I found these on fast tack and wondered if anyone had ever tried them:

It's a cheap solution to a problem that's been bugging me for a while. Any thoughts?

thanks in advance!

Haha, I figured that much! Did they do the job though? That's all I'm worried about as it's only a little bit that needs clipped. :)

I bought some a few months back to tidy up legs etc...they couldn't cut warm butter!
I don't know if some makes are better than others but mine didn't work at all.

"What make were yours? The ones I'm looking at are Shires so I figured they might be worth looking at. "

Not sure - they've been relegated to the bottom of my trunk. Possibly Shires as the shop I bought them from stock a lot of Shires stuff but I can't be sure - sorry.
