I use a hemp one from the body shop. It's quite expensive but it works brilliantly

I also like Palmolive Honey and Milk handwash - that's really nice on dry hands, too

Get me - I sound like a proper beauty expert

I'm going to be following this thread because my hands are like sand paper. My boss commented on the state of them the other day - oops

I use vaseline hand and nail cream, but 'spot treat' the really bad bits with Scholl Heel repair cream - it's brilliant if your hands are really sore.

I second the Scholl Cracked Heel Cream. Sounds minging, but it fixes your hands a treat. You only have to use it for a few days at first and then about once or twice a week to keep them soft. My knuckles were so bad they just split & were bleeding, now they are in such better condition. I gave some to a horsey friend of mine who now won't use anything else either!

You're not the only one...mine also pointed out the permanent dirt that's embedded into the cracks in my hands

I have tried for years to find a hand-cream that would stop my hands getting those awful, and very painful splits during the winter months. Am now using Starkies Beeswax Barrier hand cream, it is claimed to heal all splits on hands within 10 days or your money back. It healed all my splits within the first 3 days and I haven't had any since

It is only a barrier cream though, so doesn't really soften much, I use a cream called Beyond Self Nourishing hand cream to soften and make them smell nice.

Over Christmas my daughter wouldn't hold my hand whilst walking through town cos she said they felt like sandpaper (they did)

She now can't believe the difference, would recommend to anyone.

Can't go wrong with Tesco's version of the Vaseline hand & nail cream. About 69p and sinks in brilliantly, can't bear hands being sticky or waiting for cream to sink in. I get very dry hands which used to crack & split but this and Vaseline hand cream has done the trick for years.
