hand operated clippers

Wahl sell 'hand operated' clippers - has anyone used them?
My lad sweats heavily, and although is good to clip generally, always gets very panicky as I approach the top of his neck, so wondered if these would be kinder on him to finish the job.

Ive never used them so not much help Im afraid but I cant imagine them working very well. Maybe they would be ok for trimming feathers?
