Hi

I know Handel very well (ever since a 5yo) and have seen plenty of his offspring by different types of breds (welsh, Irish, warmblood), and a high percentage go on to do very well in competition (Anne had a mare that was only 15hh but reached the foxhunter final) and are very good natured, just like him. I personally think he is one of the best stallions that has ever stood in the UK and is very much under utilised by breeders.

If thinking about selling, speak to Anne Bedford as she may be able to help.

The one we bred is now ridden by Nigel Tabor at Broadway. Tristram Owers (?), took him to a few shows, very quick around x country and clear showjumping but didn't have the patience (mares side) for the dressage as he has never done it before. They said if he had done a bit better on the dressage he would have been a very good horse as he normally got placed even with a bad dressage. He would do well in the Hickstead eventer class. Handels offspring include showing champions and showjumpers and are normally pretty brave, and I would suggest you speak to Anne Bedford as she knows about most of his offspring and what they are doing.
