Handle for Riding with! Whatever Next!?

Not kidding! Is he just pretending to be a novice? I wonder because he is riding with a double bridle. If he is pretending he's doing a good job cos he looks cr*p. What a stupid invention, just something else to confuse a beginner with.
 
I wondered the same CM. Because at times he looks okay, and also that he's in a double bridle.

Poor horse though! That handle doesn't really seem to come into action at all, being that it stretches right up to the horses ears..

it looks like a wee shoddy invention that dragons den would tear apart lol i thought you meant like a western saddle handle thing they had thought up for gps lol has no one ever heard of a neck strap lol he obviously hasnt
 
How utterly ridiculous!!! Are we not going to teach riders to ride from the seat in balance then?? or are we just going to let them hang onto the horse via a strap??? I do use a neckstrap/breastplate or balance strap on a recently broken youngster, but that is ridiculous...like him to ride my mare like that - she'd ditch him, strap or no strap!!

The strap just seems to be teaching the rider to hang on the reins/strap for balance.

I can see the benefit of a neck strap in case things go wrong, but am a bit puzzled about the benefits of hanging onto the thing in the video. It doesn't seem to stop the poor horse being pulled about something awful in a double bridle either.

The video has left me a bit puzzled by it all.
 
Errm what is is for?? Doesnt seem to be any use and i reckon that poor horse is traumatised now with everyone trying to scare it
