Hands up if you haven't rugged your horse!

Living in lovely wet West Wales, 4 horses, TB/Welsh D, Sect D and two miniatures unrugged and all but the Welsh sect D believe it or not unrugged all winter and out 24/7. TB/Sect D will not wear a rug at all and is totally happy out in all weather as are the miniatures the sect D stands and shivers if he is not rugged in the winter, what a wimp! :)

Bah I had to give in this morning  and she is now sporting a thermatex and medium weight. I'm sure my cob is a tb born into the wrong body. She was fine last night munching on haylage but this morning was shaking all over and carried on like this for 2hrs after bringing her into the barn and rugging.

Mine hasnt been rugged for a few weeks....BUT yesturday I got to her and she was shivering hugley in the rain :0( all her summer coat is now through. So I bought her in, towel dried her off, fed her hay, then rugged her. But shes only in a LW summer rug simply to keep the rain off of her. I would prefer her to be rugless in June!!!

One and a half hands up:D Cob has stayed naked but little welsh had a sheet put on last night as he was shivering...i gave in upon the reasoning i had clipped all his hair off a week ago:rolleyes: but he's back naked again now as we have a break in the rain...hurrah!

Native cob cross. Mine goes without rugs from when it goes above 0-2 degrees, Feb/March time and he won't be back in one until end Nov/Dec when 0 degrees comes around again..though the way the weather is hurtling about this year who knows when that may be this year! :D

They're not rugged in Winter, so definitely not rugged in Summer :) My ponies hate me and consider me to be the devil :p No comforts for them. - no rugs, no food.

Think I'm going to put my riding horse in the MW tonight, it is winter temperatures here today and I'm not leaving him naked over night in only his Summer not-so-woolies! The two retired boys are so fat that I might just leave them naked.. can't decide!
