Has anyone had any lessons with either Hannah or Christopher? If so what kind of trainers are they? Do you know how much they charge? Also can anyone find me a website for either of them cos I cant

Chris white, if it is the same chris white, is a v.good flatwork instructor, he used to teach me when I was on the pc teams!

Ets: not sure how much he charged; I think it was £15 per head, in groups of four with a PC discount.

The BD website has his address as Bradway in Sheffield if thats the Chris White you know? How much did he charge?

Just im debating about calling them up?

I have heard from several people that HES is very good. She often does clinics in my area and I plan to go to one myself. Don't know the other person sorry.

Yes, that sounds about right; I think he lived North & I know he's BD accredited, so it sounds like the same guy. I have no idea how much he'd charge privately, I think I paid 15 but we were in a group of 4 & instructors tend to give PC discounts. He was very very good & I really enjoyed the few lessons I had with him.

I have lessons with Hannah and so do a lot of the people I work for she is absolutely fantastic. I've had lessons with all sorts of other dressage trainers but now just use her as she's the best i've used. Thats from horses that are just broken to advanced eventers.

She is based in Todwick near Sheffield and for lessons at her yard she's £25 (could have just gone to £30) for about 45mins although she's not strict on time. Then when she goes for clinics it has to be for at least 4/5 max 8 and thats usually £35 per person to include the petrol.

Can't recommend her highly enough. Has just had a baby though so not doing as much as she was before, although i'm sure once the routine etc gets sorted she will be!

Dont like Chris White one bit, neither as a rider nor a trainer

Hannah is a nice person and a skilled rider. I had a couple of lessons with her through training days rather than my own choice and she was decent. She does quite a lot of work with the BYRDs people in the northern area along with the Moodies and Sonia Webster.

If you're in that kind of area, my personal recommendation would be Sonia. She's a fabulous rider (trainer of Samantha Harrison and Louise Justesen) and trained for many, many years with the Lassetters. She's less well known as a rider mainly due to her lack of top level rides in the last few years, but as a trainer, shes been very successful and now finally, she's started to get the rides again.

She's more sympathetic as a rider, imo, than the other people mentioned and was classically trained so can give a slightly different slant on things.

Dont think either Hannah or Chris have websites... tbh most trainers dont unless they're based at very large yards. Hannah can certainly be found on the BD trainers listing as can Sonia. No clue how to contact Chris due to my opinion mentioned at the start

ETS Richard Davison isnt THAT far away either.

Would agree Sonia Webster is very good too, she's nearer to me!! She would be less tough than hannah in many ways, or we've always felt will say you're doing well when perhaps you havne't done as much as you have to before hannah tells you you've done well!!

I know people who like to be told they're good all the time so go to sonia! That said she does produce results. I'd say they're on a par really.

Sonia is a much more sympathetic trainer and she knows what "tactics" are needed to get the best out of people. Those who respond to be yelling at; she will. Those who need encouragement will get it.

I was based with Sonia for 4 years up til moving a few weeks ago and we bought my current boy from her. Shes did wonders for me and i cant recommend her highly enough.
