Hannah update - Wednesday

I'm telling you to get drunk! It works....I have never seen a foal in without at least 3 gin and tonics down me. They know, I tell you - they just know!

FF... te he!

I've talked my husband into taking me to a lovely Chinese retaurant tonight that is owned by some friends and I fully intend on having a few glasses of wine after today!

my heart skipped a few beats when you mentioned the blood, think my body has calmed now!
what a relief it was only midges!
fingers crossed the foalie comes soon

I know... he was saying to my husband this is how long he would have to deal with me being like this

Don't order too many dishes at once, she could well make it a takeaway!

Mine foaled shortly after we came back from the pub for a meal at 10pm one evening, although I swear the mare read all the books, she had 3 babies, went 340 days each time. But she NEVER waxed up or ran milk, her backend just slackened off a couple of hours before, leaving such a short time you didn't really expect it to be that night.

Oh hun. Can only imagine how you must have felt!

Those bloody midges drove Josie and her bag mental last year but nothing like that. Poor Hannah.

On the positive at least the vet has had a little look over her and said how well she looks. Should put your mind at ease a bit? xx

Think it's time to give Becki some ACP before she turns into a nervous wreck

Glad the bleeding wasn't anything serious. Come on Hannah - you've got an entire forum waiting the birth of your foalie

I know exactly how you feel. I spent 12 nights in the barn before my girl foaled...I was a nervous wreck when it happened but I am so glad I saw. You cant explain it to anyone, you need to be there to experience it yourself. Stay strong, she is going to pop anytime now. Honestly I am surprised she has held out this long!

Sleep tight tonight....I have a feeling it is going to be thursday night. Dont ask me why but it just feels that way.

My phones lines went off tuesday, so had no internet, till this morning. First thing I've done is come on here to check on Hannah. It must have been really scary when her udder was bleeding. There are certainly a lot of midges round here at the moment, I think its a combination of all the wet grund and mild weather. Thanks for waiting for me Hannah but feel free to carry on an have this foalie now!
