Hannah's bag has totally disappeared!

Should this just suddenly happen???

She has had quite a full bag for just under a week, and i went up this morning and it has completely disappeared. There are some swellings just in front of her udders and just behind, but all the swelling in the udder itself has now completely gone

Yep - as part of my job, I grade all the mares bags, when I feed them breakfast at 5am, that way anyone walking into the barn knows which are the closest. They are graded 1-4 and believe me, I have 2 (one's now foaled) that have gone from 3w (wax) to 1.5 for a few days and then up to 2.5 etc.....
 
Awwww, bless, don't panic honey!

They absolutely love to do this and keep you on your toes!

What you need is a really obvious mare like my old pony - she started to bag up, so we paid attention, then one day had loads of wax on her teats - as in looked like when you melt candles on bottles...

So we showed her 9pm on a watch - even explaining big hand and little hand - and said we'd be back then... though we were twenty minutes late and when we arrived the feet were already out! Talk about clever!!! She'd started about bang on 9pm!

I've got all this to come again with Asti, and I'm sure I'll panic a bit too, but really, it'll be fine, trust the experts (SN!!!!)

i Got my pony and noticed her udders where very swollen, got vet out and told us she was pregnant, 4 weeks later she had amber, that happened very quick

worth it in the end tho. Up to the end of her preg she bearly moved and was always sulking which was abit worrying but she wer fine

LMAO!! Sorry Becki but I am just giggling at her having you run around like a headless chicken! She's a little stinker isn't she! Some of them do like to worry the pants off us.

Oh Becki! The worry CAN make you crazy. I know it did me. Approaching Epona's due date I didn't eat right for a week. During that time, my vet started answering his phone with "What now, Sue?"
When poor E finally foaled, I had been crying for four hours (She had her big ole horse head on my shoulder and leaned into me with every contraction while she was still standing. When she went down...Well... at that moment, if any of God's male creatures had come within 6' of me, I'd have gone after their private parts with a pair of dull pinking shears -- I was just so worried and felt so bad for her.) In the end though, just a couple minutes later, she knew just what to do -- and it all turned out fine. Take heart --mares are amazing.

And to think only a few days ago you were expecting it in hours - I still say 10 more days minimum.

Now honestly - did you look in the corners to see if it had come, had a big drink and was napping it off?
