Medoc is the sire of Zara's 'Red Baron', wouldn't call either of them 'dressage horses' (not in the league of your mare anyway!). I agree, I'm sure there are better stallions for her.
My ride Rhiannon is by Medoc. Highly rated by trainers inc Paul Hayler, Andrew Gould and Kenneth Dyrby.
I have know several others and all I can say is that the others have all had quirky temperaments. I am lucky in that apart from being a bit grumpy to handle on the ground, Rhiannon's rideability is superb.
Dont thic Medoc would be the best choice for your horse. I have'nt found his conformation 'stamp' that strong and he does'nt have the best reputation for temperament.
I would try looking on the British Hanoverian web site and maybe email John Shenfield, he would put you in the right dirrection. some of Suzanne Davis' stallions are lovely... she has others other than Dimaggio. A really nice one with Sherlock Holmes on the Dams side that i remember from grading as being really lovely and Suzanne told me had the most fab attitude. He had lovely fluent elastic movement and good conformation and i have seen a couple of foals and i think they were quite smart.
second partoow on some of suzanne davis stallions, really like walentino in the flesh, or you could just use dimagio not sure how easy it is to get semen for him though,
a friend saw deans san ciro hit (sp) a little stallion that catherston has atm and she really rated it, i think it quite a small quality horse, if memory serves me rightly
Wouldnt touch Dimaggio.
We are looking for something bigger. i.e 16.3 mark. Dol is only 16hh and as this horse is being bred for me, anything smaller would be too small.

If you can get to the stallion parade on Easter Monday you'll get a really good idea what stallions are available to British breeders. Walentino should help with height and he's a super mover.
I used a Westfalen stallion this year on one of my mares that will add height - Showmaker - by Show Star (Sandro Hit) out of a Fidermark mare. He's done very well under saddle although only lightly shown, wining the Young Dressage Horse champs at Hickstead last year and went over to Germany for the Bundeschampionat. He's very uphill, superb temperament, nice commercial pedigree should you want to sell the foal. http://www.germandressagehorseuk.com/
showmaker is that gary williams stallion??? i seen that at the nationals it was nice and would be good for the mare in question for height, personally i prefer walentino after seeing them both compete
I used Medoc in the first year he stood in england, on a Graded TB mare ( she was ch. tb mare with the Hanovarian Society 3 times) the resulting foal was a cracker, very easy, broke her and presented her for mare performance test, where she did excellent (passed with flying colours) despite being home produced, she went on to do Eventing in her new home, have lost touch now. I used him again a year later got a chestnut filly, which became the first foal to be placed in the Hanovarian show (GB) out of a tb mare, (she was 3rd) she was beautiful, but a little bit more temperamental, a friend bought her as a 3yr old she has only bred from her but she has thrown some lovely babies that have done well in the showring
I love him, he has the most amazing laid back nature too. Someone from here went to the stud open day, he stood with his door open and children were patting him
heya, how about HOTLINE hes 16.3 hh lovely mover and a good temp, he is also short in the back and a power back,, may suit your mare if you like him xx
i know Medoc has a really excellent temperment having seen him at stud and competitions before - I think he's value for money for performance and his progeny success.
sometimes think it's tough on stallions that get picked for their good temp's when the mares themselves def do not! ;-)
