It's all to do with reducing Birthday Boy's waistline. He expanded rapidly after an unintended week off, when my husband had a nasty accident at work. He gets MUCH more interested when poles are added to the equation & when left to his own devices on a long rein will do poles rather than just wander about. Yes, he's weird!
 
He was such a cute foal! He looks very like his mam.
I hope you have baked him a birthday carrot cake;)

I live in hope for the day I run into Dave in the flesh as I believe you are quite near me. He is so cute :D I apologise in advance for the day a short blonde bird comed flying at you across a crowded feild screaming Daaaaaaaaave :o
