Hi all I sent a message about my mare having her first foal last Tuesday, 1st picture, however due to circumstances beyond our control the foal didn’t survive and when they were taken into the vets it was because he couldn’t absorb any food through the digestion system, anyway we put a message out for a foster foal and found one in Devon, we are in Lincolnshire, so the mare was transported down a very long journey to Devon where she was introduced to her new baby they bonded fairly quickly and I received a new picture today.

So sorry you lost your foal, you must be devastated. but so lovely that your mare can help another new life. Very kind thing to let her go down there and be a foster mum.

Oh no, I am so sorry for your loss. How heartbreaking.

I'm glad that your mare has been able to step into the foster mum role and is happily helping another foal.

What beautiful pictures. Your mare looks so to have such a kind face with both her own foal and the foster foal. I'm sure the foals owners are grateful for your generosity. I hope they progress well and your girl thrives. You must be missing her as I'm sure you had such plans for your own little one.

I’m so sorry about your foal - I had no idea that you had lost him. Having bred my own, I would be absolutely devastated if I lost one. I’m so glad that your mare has taken to the foster foal and will keep my fingers crossed that everything continues to go well.

Sorry for the loss of your foal but also well done on giving another foal a chance at having a new mum whilst giving your mare a new baby to cherish.
Please keep us updated if at all possible.
