Happy ending

Hi all I sent a message about my mare having her first foal last Tuesday, 1st picture, however due to circumstances beyond our control the foal didn’t survive and when they were taken into the vets it was because he couldn’t absorb any food through the digestion system, anyway we put a message out for a foster foal and found one in Devon, we are in Lincolnshire, so the mare was transported down a very long journey to Devon where she was introduced to her new baby they bonded fairly quickly and I received a new picture today.

I hope that's a consolation for your sad loss. A friend of mine fostered when she lost one and it helped her a lot.

I saw the other side of this story on Facebook- the poor breeder who lost their lovely mare and was so desperate to find a mare to foster the foal.

I'd no idea you'd lost your beautiful foal - that's really sad. Lovely that your mare can help another baby. My horse was hand reared after losing her dam and i think she missed out on so much not having her mother xx
