Well little Legacy is now 6 weeks old and yesterday I felt it was safe to put her Daddy back in with her and Mummy and Aunties - so the move was made, but with a slight change of plan. Just beforehand I thought that I would offer Legacy some Uncles too.....hence she now has this.
Always a bit nerve-wracking when you do this, but I shouldn't have worried as it all went as smoothly as I had expected. Daddy was very pleased to be in with his ladies again and he is actually quite protective, in a gentle kind of a way, over his daughter.
Sunny and Jet are quite happy to be in with them; both are very gentle horses so I had no fears that they would do anything untoward. Ezzy (Daddy) is not bothered about Jet going near the foal but he does veer Sunny off when he goes too close.
Legacy the foal took everything in her stride, as per usual! She found this quite fun I'd say. The 2 Aunties were guarding her from the others when I first put them in but within 10 minutes all was totally calm and everyone had settled in perfectly.
So here is a picture with some of them out in the big field, taken this morning a moment ago.
They left the big field and followed me down to the paddock, so here's a picture of Daddy munching on a rubber bucket and Mummy and baby.
And Jet just dying to get that little bit closer to the baby LOL!!
