We decided we've gone as far as we can with the trainer who was trying to make puss cat a robot dog. The OH has found a gun dog trainer who came round today and told us the youngsters have no manners!! I know :o They do as asked mostly, but are over excited and leap up lots which we've allowed but is not fun for very young or very old visitors :o

Anyway, she's bringing us a whistle and I'm going to ask if I can accompany a shoot (without my naughty youngsters!). Naughty, this face?!

Our gun dog trainer is brilliant- my boy has much improved manners since going for last 8 months. We go on first shoot in Jan with the naughty one- although trainer is comin and he will be on lead!
Where are you based in case same trainer.

Ah yes, definitely go for the experience tho. You can always take it up yourself and just go shooting with him alone.
Unlikely but you could find he is so focussed it reduces the DA in that situation.
My lab is too friendly if walking he is a nightmare. But put his gun lead on and bag and he is focussed only on me and the dummy- literally goes past other dogs without even noticing them.

I have no problems with Teals slight DA when shooting, hes even loose in the beating truck now demanding belly rubs or crying at the door to get going (tractor doesnt drive fast enough apparantly).

Yet out walking its still a problem, so annoying.
