Just to counter so many bad loan stories!

I went today to check on my old boy who's out on loan, he looks in lovely condition, shiny coat good feet, in a sensibly short field with 2 nice companions, lovely thick hedges for shelter and a massive clean water trough.
My lovely loaner says he's been really good hacking, schooling in the field and lunging to keep him trim.
All three of us are very happy.

Brilliant! I love hearing success stories, and I too am a loaner and I get so angry when people generalise bad cases to everyone!

I could have written this! My old boy has been in a loan home for nearly 2 weeks, I saw him on Thurs and he looks great and she text me last night to say he had got a rosette for a 3 mile pleasure ride where she was leading her young daughter and pony from him. I'm very lucky that she is a friend and lives very close but it can all work out well.

I have just had a happy loan experience - just been up to the yard to give my horse and his teenage loaner a hand jumping at home. I was so pleased to see how happy he is and how they are coming together. She is on about joining PC with him next year and doing some shows. She's looking after him really well and he seems to appreciate that, plus he's stopped being naughty for her! Fingers crossed they stay happy so once my baby is born we can share him, I'll do the happy hacking and she can do the comps, and I won't be forced to sell him!
