The horse I ride is currently ridden in a jointed loose ring snaffle. It looks like a happy mouth, but according to the owner it's one of the apple flavoured ones.
I've tried to google them to find a replacement one, but am confused- are all Happy Mouth bits the flavoured types, or is it certain ones? Can anyone link to a site selling them please?
(I know happy mouth's aren't ideal- the reason it's being replaced is because it's been chewed!- but he will not go in anything else)

Cross posted in Stable Yard. Thank-you

If you cant find something that suits you can always use a normal bit with a suitable midle and wrap the bars with that thick bandage-strapping tape that you can get from chemists and some super markets. I always do it if I have one that are funny in thier mouths and you can put honey or molasses on it if need be.

Happy mouth is one brand and apple mouth is another (actually manufactured by different companies in China)

There is mass confusion as Happy mouth became a generic term for a synthetic bit (like a hoover)

ok might have got that wrong - if its a "Happy Mouth" that has been sold through E Jefferies made by the Soyo Corp - then it is apple scented

http://www.soyonet.co.jp/products/happy_mouth_bit.html

However if its a "Happy Mouth" distributed by Shires, Westgate, Weatherbeeta etc. Then its not apple scented, as they use their own manufacturers which aren't Soyo

Apologies for the confusion - in answer to your question - but one from Frogpool as they are soyo corp bits.
