My NYD: 1. Started with finding two massive dog poos in the kitchen courtesy of one of the Rotts, so my 2023 started with clearing up poo. 2. Finally get outside to find that the horses have broken into the tack room overnight. Utter carnage. Expensive PSSM supplements strewn about. Quarter sack of mollichaff gnawed open & eaten, & they've managed to open two feed bins. 3. Vet call out on NYD as my old ex racer got choke as a result & couldn't clear it.

I am trying to feel very grateful that the result of all the gorging, including unsoaked sugar beet, was 3 x horses 100% fine and 1 x old chap with choke (he is choke prone as he has something wrong with his guttural pouch). It could easily have been 4 x fatal colics. There is now a padlock on the tack room door. But aaaarrrgghhh, the vet bill is going to deplete my secret savings a/c that I was using to save up for my secret new horse...! (Secret from o/h...)

Oh, what a bad start for you two! So far so good with horses, thank heavens, as have so many problems on the human side!
