Maesfen
Extremely Old Nag!
First Happy New Year to one and all; may all your days be happy, stressless and painfree.
Secondly and sorry about this but I am on the rampage, about our neighbours (as in next but one house although 500 yards away) have just had the biggest loudest firework display known to man - and they didn't tell me so I am really seething. If I had known about it I would have brought Twiggy, Parky and Swallow down from the field (just across the lane and up a bit from their house) and stabled them for the night but we knew nothing about it (we don't move in their circles anyway so don't feel aggrieved about it that way!) You would have thought they'd have been neighbourly and slipped us the word, they know two of the mares there are in foal. If anything's gone wrong there will be hell to pay, I am seething. Will just have to wait and see until the morning now (wouldn't you know the torch is on the blink so wouldn't be able to see anything and besides, knowing Twig, the torchlight would freak her out as much as anything and cause more problems! It's not only me that it concerns, their next door neighbour, less than 100 yards from them also has some ponies turned out in the fields next to mine; don't think they'll be very happy either.
BTW, I don't think I'm over reacting am I? It's just that we've never had fireworks going off that locally for anything so never ever thought there might have been a problem tonight; naive I know - now!
Bang (excuse the pun!
) goes the quiet neighbourhood we live in; won't be able to take anything for granted again will we?.
