my 13.2 has been a fab pony for me as before we got him i had a 13.2 show pony and he was a little bu**er and i lost my confidence, he then became poorly so he was retired.
then we got my 13.2 nfx (mickey) when we went to try him he was rather skinny, hairy, nothing to look at and really not my cup of tea anyway all the previous owners did with him was hunt him! we then got him home schooled him as he couldnt canter round a corner so schooled him, put some weight on him changed his bit from a dutch gag to a snaffle and had no problems whatsoever, we then went to our first show and won the working hunter pony so iwas rather pleased with him, we then carried on going to shows and doing rather well.
three years on and i now have a 14.2 showjumping pony (bisciut) who TBH is a bit of a madam and very exitable, i know for a fact if it wasnt for him i wouldnt have her now as i would probs have been to worried to ride her letalone being able to ride her lol!
on suday we held a show at the farm and as the jumping was on grass so was quite slippy i jumped mickey rather than the madam as she is too silly to jump on slippy ground and mickey is very sensible and sure footed, anyway i took him in the 3ft class baring in mind he is a fat 13.2 competing against horses, he then popped around the course never pulling or being silly went clear ( nothing else went clear) and got his mummy a lovley sash and fab rossette so again i was very pleased with him!
i am now soooo soooooo happy as my mum is going to keep him for herself to ride and eventually hunt.
pointless post i know but i just feel soooo happy that he has been so honest and done soo much for me and he is now going to spend the rest of his life with us doing what he does best!
