Hello,
Don't start threads often but I had a fab afternoon jumping my little loan pony today and wanted to share!
I've had her about a year and at 19 she is a bit of an old pro at jumping - much better than me, but she does tend to rush. This has always meant that I tend to try and hold her too much and don't get my leg on enough going into jumps - basically I freeze and sit there like a lemon - and she picks up on my uncertainty and (quite rightly) ducks out the side.
But today we had an audience and I was forced to grow a pair and actually ride, or risk looking like a bit of an idiot in front of people who know exactly how capable she is, and she was fab!!! Really keen and just generally lovely. We didn't go very big, only about 2'9'' then I called it a day, but it was so fun!
