Following loads of issues this year, and a declared chronically lame horse for who I am the only one with any hope, I'm happy to report I walked my sisters mare in hand tonight for the first! It went well and she really seemed to enjoy it

She's had intermittent lameness issues the whole 2.5 years we have owned her and we don't actually know what's wrong with her even after having 3 vets look at her, numerous x Ray's and lots of work ups. She needs an MRi. But given that info, it's more than likely something awful in her feet As she blocks sound to the back of her feet. We had her shoes removed earlier this year, and after getting her over a terrible abscess she is coming on well. She walked out really well tonight and I think she only really looked lame when I turned her (on the turn it was evident) Was at the yard myself so couldn't video her landing but excited to see if there's any improvement from the first video taken after her shoes were removed. Will build up the in hand walking and see how she goes. Would LOVE to prove everyone wrong, as she's 100% written off. My sister only wants to be able to hack her so if we got there everyone would be delighted!
If we were anywhere near rockley, she would def be sent there, but it's much too far away. She's only 13!
