Harbridge, Bungee, Drawreins or perhaps something else?

Daisy rein I reckon, whether home-made or posh bought. But also bear in mind with horses the strength battle is all controlled by where their head is. catch her before her head goes down too far and you have control. Fail to do this and once her head is down you may as well whistle. So as well as the daisy rein it's worth trying to anticipate her going for the grass and preventing it before the head angle is beyond the point of no return. Like leading bargy horses, if you have the head where you want it the body is also under control.

Good luck!

Thank you all for your responses.

I have brought a daisy rein, a leather shires version.

Hopefully this will teach her not to keep doing it, as it's incredibly frustrating!

Well, i think it is rather safe to say, that the daisy rein is not working. Oh Dear.

Really would try grass reins, bailing twine tied to the bit, threaded up through browband and back down to the d ring of your saddle. They should be tight enough so that when her head gets level with her withers they pull her back up. I would also team this with a well timed whack, it's so rude and if you don't discipline the behaviour and just let the grass reins do it, she will stop when they're on and start again when you take them off. Use them as a tool, not a permanent fix.

Oh and take the daisy rein back, I find them pretty useless tbh, far too easy to pull against!

She only does this with me, and maybe tries once or twice with my instructor before giving up.

That sounds like the route of the problem to be honest ... she knows she can get away with it.

If she gets a a good smack when she does it, yes she'll probably take off and you need to gather the knitting up quickly, but she'll learn that she can't get away with it.
