Now I live in a constant state of paranoia (Apparantly...)

And am worried. Basically horse needs to do some canter work work next few days. When I do cantering, its a good 2 hour ride as the place suitable is a fair ride away. I don't have time really until Saturday. I could go tonight if I cancel dinner with someone but irs also mega hot today so lots of flies and won't be much fun

We've had some good rain the last week so think the ground will be pretty good. Expecting showers for most of tomorrow and also on sat.

But I'm worrying with hot hot hot today, it's going to really dry out the ground and then if we don't get much rain, it will be really hard on Sat?

Am i being OTT and in need of a slap? Canter place is up on a hill so gets hard quite quickly.

Slapping as i write this!!!!! :)
Take a breath...you'll be fine, i take it you do put boots on him?
I know what you mean, i worry about the hard ground especially if we're off eventing.

Does anyone else you know use the track that you could ask? Or you could ride up there and you can hear pretty easily if it's too hard (they sound like they are on the road still!).

We've had tonnes of rain but underneath the ground is still rock solid here in Lincs - my boy is sensitive to the hard ground but it also does depend on your horse's legs

I am quite paranoid about the hard ground, but then my horse has a few issues with her front legs so hard ground is a bit of a no no
We are in desperate need of some fast work but its kind of tough luck for me at the moment so I am just trying to keep her fitness at a decent level with hacking/hill work until the ground is better!
