We would all love to have a perfect surface... but if you could choose a deep or hard one, which would you choose?? And why??

Deep all the way for Cheeky. He really feels the ground, and if it's hard he panics and gets quite uptight with really choppy strides. He loves mud though, and really goes well when every other horse is skiing round, slipping everywhere.

Hard for me,(well with some give obviously

) my lads canter is much better on a firmer surface,he seems to lose all co ordination on a deeper surface and panics, less strain on ligaments also!
