Hargate Hill Charity Show 2012

The 23rd annual Hargate Hill Charity Show will take place on Sunday 17th June 2012 at Hargate Hill Equestrian Centre, Charlesworth, nr Glossop. This year the show is raising money for Dobbinz & Co (an new equine welfare not-for-profit organisation serving Derbyshire and Cheshire) and Help For Heroes. As well as qualifing classes for Equifest and UK Showing, there will be other classes including one for ex-racehorses, rescue horses, shire and shire types, children's novelty classes and a fun dog show. There will also be special rosettes donated by the Northern Side Saddle Group for anyone entering any class on sidesaddle. There will be a catering truck offering hot and cold drinks and snacks, our famous Charity Show cake stall with lots of home-made goodies, crafts, a tack and riding supplies stand and a tombola with fantastic prizes. Our charities are planning to have information stands and Glossop Army Cadets will be helping on the showground and marshalling the carpark.

It's a lovely day out for competitors and spectators alike. There is no charge for entry to the showground for spectators so why not give Dad a different day out for Father's Day this year?

We have a number of new classes and all judges are qualified and from out of area and have not judged for us before ! (I've just thrown that in view of inaccurate statements made in the past on other parts of this forum about the show using unqualified judges who only place people they know!)

We have tried to make the schedule as varied as possible and several people have commented that "There is something for everyone" so come along and have a good day out.
