I decided to purchase my ID a new outdoor rug this year with neck cover as his old one doesnt have it and i knew it was going to be a cold winter!

I decided to buy a harlequin combo rug but i am so disappointed with it!

When i took it out the bag it seemed perfect, lovely and cosy and it fits my boy great and but the moment he starts walking the quilting slips back and hangs out the back end of the rug !!!

When i get there in the evening the neck piece is pulled down from the quilting slipping backwards.

Any suggestions for a nice cosy rug where the quilting stays in place???!!!

Rhino HW and also have the same rug in MW both with detatchable hoods. Warm, dry and stay put. I love Horseware and Fal rugs - you can't go wrong with them and they seem to fit everything. They also seem to last for years even with the baby and the old girlie.

Disappointing, but rather than splash out on a new rug, couldn't you get some iron-on velcro and put a couple of patches on the sides to hold the quilted underrug in place?

My ID has an amigo XL (normal amigo too narrow). Mark Todd rugs also good for horses with a bit more depth. Understand premier equine also good for ID types but haven't tried them myself!

I have this rug :

http://match.shared.hosting.zen.co.uk/Assets/productImages/MASTAAW10_ZR17C_MVCH_lg.jpg (it's the masta zing in purple check) and have found that it comes up smaller than weatherbeeta, so would go one size up, and the fixings on the neck cover are a total pain in the a*se to do up, I am planning to take my scissors down and trim the velcro part as it is very tricky to pull it through the metal fixings to do it up.

Otherwise though, it's a fantastic rug for the money - is so thick and doesn't seem to slip or rub :)

I've had Weatherbeeta Tristars for all three of mine for a few years now and they work very well. They are easy to take apart and use as lighter rugs, but stay in place as heavier rugs too.
