I have had so many things to juggle recently that I have been unable to update you all but I have been able to keep my blog going which features write ups as to how Star (and Stevie and Wild Bill) are doing at the races.
Rather than repeat it all here, if you are interested then feel free to check it out: www.numberonescottishgroom.blogspot.co.uk
A quick synopsis is as follows:
Star has raced 5 times this season, she finished third on her first start, third on her second start (which qualified her for the final where she ran 7th, first time she's raced in a heat and final scenario), then on her fourth start she finished second and last week which was her fifth start she again finished second. She races tonight and is not in a position to win due to the competition but all being well she will be entered into a non-winners race next week where depending on the company, will have a strong change of a red rosette.
Wild Bill has raced five times also, he has finished second on the first two starts, then won his maiden, was second the following week and won his novice last week. He races again tonight.
Stevie, after being unplaced in his first 2 starts has gone to Wales to be trained and on his first start down there on Sunday he won. He is due to race this coming Sunday in Wales and this time I will be there to cheer him on. After that he heads to the 3 day festival at Tregaron either as a Grade 1 or in the low grade heats and final.
All this (and photos) is in the blog. Your support is, as always, welcomed!
