Harringtons dog food

Not one I'd use. Mainly cereal and rather misleading blurb-

Doesn't have nasty colourings but doesn't have much meat and no wheat but three other cereals.

4 out of the 5 top ingredients can't be digested by dogs so are unnecessary fillers.

My personal rule of thumb is if it's available in a supermarket, don't buy it.

Thought it was the same thing as Skinners so used it on holiday once, the most vile poos and farts came out of all three of my dogs....ended up buying them chicken wings and legs everyday in local Tescos.

Agree re the supermarket theory cinnamontoast....

I am looking for a low flatulence feed - dog in question is a very nervous rescue dog and is actually scared of her own farts, and no, this is not a joke. She shoots across the room at the smallest fart and gets quite distressed.

I was in Tesco's today and read the bumf on a sack of Harringtons and said that it was good for flatulence, hence enquiry.

Any other 'low flatulence' recommendations?

Sorry Toffee44 - must have posted at the same time.

Thanks for that - doesn't sound like it would help with her 'issues'....!

oops sorry that was a bit of a delayed post :o

I would avoid James wellbeloved if yo want to avoid farts! I don't know anyone who has ever had their dog on it that didn't suffer :(

Our new collie spaniel cross aged 20mths is on CSJ Champ. Its a complete food he was on before we aquired him so we have continued. He dosent suffer with wind ,is very active and his Poos are solid and nice and easy to pick up. After loosing our Britany 2 yrs ago due to liver failure we are determind we will not be giving Bailey any human food only the occasional bit of meat as a treat.

Too true- its a rare day anyone or any dog out-trumps me, but after feeding mine on JWB, it was non-stop parping!

Fish 4 Dogs for us- not cheap, but you feed a lot less and I keep an eye out for special offers (one on at the moment if anyone's interested!)
