There used to be Harrods Horses that pulled a Harrods carriage around London - it was all done up in the green & gold Harrods livery. I think it was a promotional thing... don't know if its still going though.

No one has seen them before but my dad goes up there every weekend, so I though someone would have said something about them by now!!

Don't understand the 'no-one has ever seen them'? They were one of my favourite sights around London!

Yes, I used to work around Buckingham Palace and the carriage would go past most mornings

Yes, i wondered what you meant, have seen them quite a few times in London and they used to - or maybe still do - do parades occasionally? Gorgeous horses btw, a real sight to see in full gear!

Yep they still do the parades, there's a video on my dads website of the 2010 Harrods Christmas parade, my dads horses are the ones pulling the Harrods carriage with Santa in the back x

My friend used to live next door to the man that drives and looks after them!!

I was lucky enough to see them and they are very impressive... and stupidly clean!!!!

i worked in Oxted years ago and i use to see them being ridden out in the mornings they use to ride up the high street they were are fabulous horses

My OH rode one! Not during his (horse not OH) time at Harrods though, it was one that wasn't too keen on driving so became a ridden horse on working livery at a rather nice RS further north.

Yes, I saw them a few months ago whilst in a cab, marble arch area if I remember rightly, I took a pic as we went past. Will look through phone and if can find it I'll put onto photobucket and upload! They looked lovely and so chilled out amongst the London traffic!

Just looked and yes I have the photo! Not very clear as obviously horses were moving, as was I in a cab and photo was taken off my phone! I will upload tomorrow at some point, when on laptop!

What is your friend called because these are my dads horses so he might know him...and yes they are groomed for about 45 minutes each, each day and bath at least once a week

They still are about, they are my dads horses and I go up to London with him most weekends and bath and plait the horses and harness them up and sit next to my dad while he drives them around, it's an amazing job!!
