See hes been banned for 6 months - is that from today? So nothing running before December?
Surely the trainer must have known about the situation? Or at least told him the horse was unlikely to win...very dodgy and not good for racings image, especially with such a high profile trainer, owner and horses involved.

Has he actually been banned from his horses racing or just from betting? Where can I read about it. However from the small piece in local paper last night (before verdict) I thought it was just technical - he had been betting on horse winning and losing in race. Isn't this what new fangled betting (can't remember term) is about - betting on losing a race. If it is then surely loads of people do this.

Who was riding the horse, does it say anywhere?
It says in the H&H article that horses owned by him and his mother but I don't know about horses he owns in partnership with someone else...I bet Paul Barber is impressed, he strikes me as being a real old fashioned gentleman!

According to the Sporting Life article he says his days of owning horses in Britain are over. Do you think Mr Barber would take a £2.50 share in Denman (always my favourite over Kauto)?

Might be worth an email asking!! You are welcome to Denman though, but I'm sure he'd make a nice hunter - hee hee...

Will be a lot of valuable horses changing hands then...I wonder if Paul Nicholls still has a Saturday column in the Racing Post in the flat season.
