A year or so ago I bought a new hat to replace my elderly (circa 2009) Harry Hall hat. You don't need to tell me I probably shouldn't have been riding in that hat for so long....! I had the new hat properly fitted at the local tack shop and they assured me it would pack down and they are supposed to start off tight. I was skeptical but trusted them. Eight months on, when it was still giving me pressure headaches, I gave up and went back to the old one.
I now really, really need to replace the old Harry Hall but I don't trust the local tack shop; can anyone tell me whether Harry Hall fit and sizing has remained reasonably consistent over the last few years? The new hat (a Champion) is just too round for my egg shaped forehead and I'm thinking about just buying a new Harry Hall, in the right size, in an online sale.
