For those of you with Harry Hall vented hats - when you apply pressure to the side of your hat, do hear the styrofoam crackle (especially at front where the vent is)? Basically someone recently did this to mine and said I needed a new one as it sounded quite bad. Now the hat has not been in any major crashes and I've checked the styrofoam and it doesn't seem to have any cracks. Could it be just that where the vent is, it just will seem like it's a abit weaker whereas in fact it's OK? I'll replace it anyways because the Harry Halls are not that expensive (I'd love a GPA but hey ho credit crunch etc). But would just like to know if anyone else is aware of this with Harry Halls in particular?

I fell off with while i had a harry hall elite, it wasn't a bad fall but the peek scraped along the ground, i had a really sore forehead where it just didn't protect like it should have done!

I know some of the harry hall hats dont have a kite mark, this was picked upon pony club doing hat checks, have a look to see if yours has a kite mark. I think as far as hats go you get what you pay for.
