After a expensive kick, and my BHS third party due for renewal, I thought I would see what else is on the market, and happened across the above.
Has anyone here got it, and if so, have you claimed for external injury on it?
I know the cover is limited, but I currently don’t have any vet fee cover, so am now wondering if Harry Hall is worth while.

Yes I took it out last year but not claimed on it. I came to the conclusion that I would never operate on my two one is 20 years & the other would not cope with box rest. The monies is taken out Qtrly so the months I don't pay the vets bills I have started to squirrel away monies for normal vet calls vaccinations etc.

Mine is Harry Hall, but 3rd party only.

It includes free One Club membership, which I didn't think I would ever use, but I then seem to have bought 2 Protechmasta dog jackets, a Protechmasta saddle cloth and a Protechmasta sports vest for me too! The Protechmasta items were cheaper than advertised elsewhere. Oh, and a Masta stable rug.

I had £10 off my first order as well as discounted items, so even though I think you *could* find discounted items elsewhere, that was 3 months paid for straight up.

Do you rate the pro tech masta stuff?
I have third party and had considered the vets fees, not colic but the injury.

I considered the vets fees too, but decided to go it alone, as I hate filling forms in! I actually feel quite liberated not to have to consult the insurance for everything. But then, Rigsby is not going to be having colic surgery or protracted treatment, so that is easier to say.

Protech, yes.

Rigsby's physio recommended a rug for him, he is dippy backed and she was concerned about kissing spines. I was not concerned about that, as he is working too happily. I mean, with his back shape, I am sure some processes do touch, but I feel confident that they are not hurting him as he really enjoys his ridden adventures. Besides, I pointed out that he is a cob with an inbuilt wooly rug, hardly needing extra thermal help!

But, as I rate Rigsby's physio, I did buy a dog rug for Hector. He was amazing. He is old and arthritic, and wears rugs in winter all of the time. I swapped his indoor rug for the Protech and he want wild. Happy. Waggy tail. Jumping up and down. So, Cracker-dog (the yellow one we inherited from mum) also won one as he has a damaged back from being a pup. He also loved it!

I was still of the opinion that Rigsby needed a rug like a hole in the head, but I relented and bought him the saddle cloth. He is going amazingly well. His back is building up. Is that because of the saddle cloth? Well... it was at the same time. But also at the same time that his schooling was coming on, the same time as we got a shim pad for the saddle. Who knows?

I thought they all looked happy enough that I bought a vest. My back was bad. After a week, it was not. I was also on Diclofenac, LOL.

I don't like that it can only be sparsely washed at 30 degrees. Not ideal for a tech vest!

I have the 3rd party and vet fees. So does a friend of mine. Her youngster put his foot through a fence (like they do) and had a really nasty cut on the front of his fetlock. She claimed and they paid out with out question.

I've yet to properly look at the One club discounts - which I'm now kicking myself for as just had a shopping spree.

I have it for my boy - the vets cover for external injury and the public liability but not the colic. Thank god I haven't had to claim yet but seems a good deal for what it is.
I wouldn't put my boy through a surgery, and his most prone condition would be excluded by all insurances anyway. I have paid for the quarter though so I may take out full insurance when this rolls around, just in case. I'm not sure yet.

I took out the vet cover as horse was 18 when I bought him so didn’t think about doing full vet cover. He had an incident in yard and fell over, many cuts and scrapes that needed vet, claimed and they paid out for this without any issues.

I’ve just upped my membership to a family one as have added both driving ponies this year as both now older with lots of exclusions, so having just for external injuries is the best option now.

I joined the HH One Club for the Public Liability Insurance paying monthly. Friday I found their email of 2 May in the Spam folder telling me that the recurring card payment had failed. Followed login link to update card details (expiry date 12/26 so no problem my end) where login fails due to invalid credentials. Plus a message saying to contact their customer support team if I purchased membership before 14 Feb 22 (yes). Resorted to Online Chat after waiting for answer to phone call and I am now confused. Apparently I am paid up to 1 June. I was sent a link to update password which I did and was able to look at my account where there isn't any card registered at all. Today I can't log in. They are installing a new system which will apparently be OK in about 2 weeks. Meanwhile I can't check anything and it bothers me that I can't do anything/see proof about something as important as PL insurance. I don't want another confusing chat experience so I need to phone hopefully this evening but I can't see their contact hours anywhere.

Is anyone else having problems with HH One Club and/or any advice re the above?

Thanks

Yes I had this problem as well, I had an email shortly afterwards saying the payment failure email was an error, this happened on a weekend so I could not check with them but it also coincided with my bank card going out of date, I updated that on paypal and all seems ok now and i received an email saying they have taken my normal monthly payment. I have not checked my details on HH website yet.

Yep, I have it and have claimed it. Harry Hall paid out no bother when Amber came in with a cut leg from the field and needed 7 staples. They did quibble when she had an x-ray on it 3 weeks later, but the vet confirmed it was due to the cut injury as it was suspected she may have fractured the splint bone. So they paid out for that as well, all sorted in a day or two. Thankfully splint bone was fine, and the canon bone was just bruised, so she made a full recovery. Bill wasn't that much, but it was helpful to have. Amber now wears boots for turnout.
