I have a pair of gloves, as title, that are in need of a good wash.;) The label says don't wash them. :D Has anyone tried it? Will they be ruined and unwearable? To be fair if I can't clean them I might chuck them out anyway.

Do Harry Hall have any idea how dirty horses are? Why do they make gloves that can't be washed?

Not Harry Hall ones but I have a pair of Sealskinz hi-viz ones. They say to hand wash in cold water. I can't be doing with that so chuck them in the machine with everything else. They've faded a little bit but are fine.

OK, they have been round on a 40 degree 20min wash and have survived, unfortunately some of the dirty stains are still there. In the name of science I'll try again with a longer wash and possibly a higher temp.

They've been round again.

One hour "power wash" at 60 degrees with a stain remover. No shrinkage, the big stains have gone. :) Still marked but not looking quite so unhygienic.

So presumably the no wash label is to save Harry Hall having to do some testing. If I'd known they were washable Id have tackled them sooner.
