had the vet out yesterday to assess harry , the news isn,t at all good , he flexed all his joints and harry groaned when asked to turn in walk on tight circle , he stumbled when led on a slope and is generally in a lot of discomfort , the vet has given me bute for him , although he originally didnt want to prescribe large doses because harry,s liver is compromised he feels its kinder to let him have a few months of retirement then re assess him in the autumm .
watching harry do his best to do what vet wanted was upsetting for myself and other half , we have all decided to let him go peacefully in sept /oct or before if danilon doesnt help him enough , hes a horse in a million , so kind and gentle , it just doesnt seem fair
