Thought I would let you know the outcome..

He had no blood clots, it was reflection of HC.

Seems he has partial vision, cataracts and has probably been like it for life, but did as all good pony's do, never let it compromise him and it was never noticeable. We are not sure if it will worsen or stay as it is.

He obviously wont be a ridden pony, not worth risking anyone even on LR, probably a companion type.

Not sure what else to say really...

Blimey JJ - after a 6-month battle to save it, my horse Sunny had his right eye removed almost 4 years ago and he still wins dressage competitions, pops jumps and is the safest imagineable hack. Don't condemn your ponio to the life of an invalid because of a cataract!

I know BoF, and I think it's smashing.
However, I am taking advice from my vet, and because he has obviously got worse recently, is a sharp and spooky and fretful pony when away from others, unless he always has company, it's too risky.
Both eyes have cataracts, and both have some degree of partial vision, (one worse than the other) therefore I wont risk small children on him.
