Hartpury - Cancelled!

Just seen this has been cancelled as more rain has fallen. All competitiors being advised to enter Blair! Hope Blair don't have to ballot but looking quite likely!

Blair always seem to be very short on entries though so they might be ok. Think there were only about 30 that did each CCI class last year?

There was about 30 in the CCI*** but the 1* and the 2* had about 80 entries and Blair have balloted the 1* in previous years!

that is such a shame, hopefully mdm cant get up here to blair. We have had very little rain up here and i dont want t go on but the ground is great wgere i am and not far from blair so fingers crossed!

I've always known Blair to be a very popular event!!

You can enter Blair online and they are dead helpful. I know for a fact several people have applied for dispensation to go to Blair 1* cause they haven't done an intermediate and it has been granted by BE. Assume however that in the event of a ballot "properly" qualified horses will get priority? I am entered for the CCI** and entered online therefore no ballot sticker attached. Do ballot stickers work for 3de or does it simply go by qualifications, points an

d pot luck?

I'm pretty sure ballot stickers are not applicable to all CIC/CCI classes. The rules for the order entries are accepted in is in the BE rule book.

What a pain, I was supposed to be grooming for someone there, could have done with the money!!

God knows how many horses are going to be held back a year due to lack of qualifications, such a shame

Well my entry is now in for Blair, in record time for me.. quite funny that half way through filling in the online form, the poor secretary from Hartpury rang me to tell me it was off, i said thanks, i know and am entering Blair as we speek..

Just saw it on the Eventing Ireland website, people who were entered have the choice to reroute to Blair or Thirlestane...

Whole thing cancelled inc young event horse. They're doing all sorts of things to help with qualifications for burghley/blenheim/blair which have been emailed out from BE this afternoon.

On a similar note do you think they might lower the number of qualifying runs for Aldon N2D? I've got a 6 year old that I would like to qualify for a CCI* before the end of this season with the aim of doing Blair next year. Original plan was that if it was qualified by the end of this season then we could go out and enjoy the runs and build on experience in the first half of next season rather than chasing a qualification.

I think I should stop making plans!!!

I realise its not what people were planning but Blair is a wonderful event! Would go there any time over Hartpury given the choice!
