I remember going to Hartpury years ago to see about going to college there.
It was flooded badly and took mum and i hours to get home as a lot of the roads were closed after heavy rain all day.
I've always known Hartpury to be rock hard, so if it drys out in time, i'm hoping the ground should be perfect!!
Fingers crossed anyway!!
You still coming BBs??
And could you PM me some of those pics from that night
I spoke to Partoow today who is meant to be competing there at the weekend and it has been cancelled due to the flooding and difficulty in getting there.
keep thinking possitive people!!!
I was told that once things start to settle, it'll take 24hrs for the flood waters to subside!!.. i know there's more to come over the next 48hrs, but 24hrs after that all will be green and lovely again! hmmm wishfull thinking maybe
Do you think if people stop buying that bloody song about a brolly (that is stupid and annoying anyway) that it might stop raining!! I has been a no.1 for a stupid amount of time!! and i'm blaiming all this rain on that stupid song.
dont worry Hartpury will run, this will be the first yesr i have missed it and am quite upset that will not be standing up in the riders meeting telling those who are bleating about the going (seems to be a bit of a sport there!!) to get on with it or with draw as they cant do more than they are already. i have every faith that the team there will prevail and sorry i will miss you BB and you will miss my statutory kareoke appearance!!
I agree about the roads leading to the College grounds - the nearby river floods the roads even during a 'normal' rein, it must be a nightmare now. The alternative route is a bit of a hassle for lorries and trailers plus it's about three times longer(if open that is).
Fingers crossed for all of you who are planning to go, I do hope it will run as going to spectate
