Everyone seems to get hay in super quick these days. When we started doing our own about 15 years ago it was cut, then turned a few times over the following days. Then once baled we stood the bales on end to get the air through them ready for putting in the barn. It's pretty much cut, turned, baled and in the barn within 48 hours now. I still like mine doing the 'old fashioned ' way!!

A lot of people use mower/conditioners nowadays which bruise the stems and help the grass dry faster. Using a plain mower takes at least two days longer.

The weather here has been very similar to Purbee's above.

Just absolutely sodden.

I've had such shivery ponies in the mornings that I've started stabling overnight instead of during the day.

We passed a wheat field today that looked in a bad state. Hope the crops can recover.
