Yes, it's a dark red colour but my horse is registered with the Nederlands Rijpaarden en Ponystamboek and for type it says Hulpboek Rijpaard Register B.
I'd have a search on-line on the appropriate website.
If your passport is like mine it should have the sire and dams name on it. That way you can trace back the breeding. If the parents are unknown then you have just got a passport that was issued for the sale of the horse I guess?!
Fany's passport is Dutch and has a green/blue cover. It has 3 generations of her ancestors listed. As well as medical etc details and where, when foaled.
