Couldn't believe my eyes. Ted is 18 years, hates going out in winter, up until yesterday could only go out for 20 minutes before weaving at the gate and calling to come in.
Yesterday morning we had about 3 inches of snow and Ted had a personality transplant. He literally pushed past me to get out of his stable. He jogged on the yard and snorted, when in the field he rolled several times and decided to chase his best friend- my sisters DWB around the field for about an hour, looking every bit the youngster. Nobody would have believed he was the OAP. He has been exactly the same today, eating snow and having a fantastic time. He really should know better!
Have any of your older horses been acting like youngsters since the snow arrived? Or is it just my strange boy, that has forgotten that he has seen snow before.
