Has anybody managed to rid a field of marsh ragwort?

Not sure if marsh ragwort is the same as normal ragwort but we took on a field with normal ragwort, blasted it with very strong weedkiller that killed everything, left it six weeks then another dose of that so back to bare earth. ploughed and re seeded, worked pretty well, still seed in the ground that comes through as small rosettes so it needs a good weedkill evey year but usable.

No personal experience, but our neighbours battled with a field for years that had marsh ragwort. I think they lost about three horses to it, and in the end gave up on it and never put a horse on it again.

Polos Mum- no it is different to ordinary ragwort- later growing, softer, harder to see in the grass, rag fork does not seem to work as it is too spindly,a paddock has been infested for years and we have not managed to deal with it.
It has been sprayed but still looks healthy!

Maybe speak to a proper agronomist and find out what it needs to be sprayed with to get rid of it properly - we tried lots on the ragwort that was supposed to work but didn't - took a bit of experimentation to find a spray that really killed it!!
