My pony's had this treatment from the vet. It was for a muscle strain and it was very effective. And not too expensive either!
I had it done on a cat I had (who had arthritis) and again it was very effective.

Yes, works a treat, used it on the old dog too, up and running about like a puppy after the treatment which lasted months after one session.
