Has anyone attempted badminton on crutches?

I'm determined I'm going, just on a quieter day than planned. The hospital have removed my plaster cast and given me a rather large well padded boot with huge splint type things either side to stop me going over on my ankle so if I am knocked over I'm hoping that will stop further damage :)
 
I did it last year with my arm in a sling, not exactly crutches though ;) I would imagine it being pretty difficult as I found plenty people whacked my arm so crutches may be even more difficult.
 
About 15 yrs ago I was Sunday groom for a couple as old as god, no idea how they managed it but they went to badminton every year for xc day. (and the mrs couldn't make it even round the shops)
