Has anyone been paid by NFU since September?

absolutely all our insurance is with nfu but have never claimed so not sure how long they take. thought they were better than that though!!

Yep. Unfortuately for me I have had a claim every year since I joined them and they haven't yet told me where to go and have always paid very promptly.

I forgot to say that horse when to vets in August. Got 1st chq promptly and final chq about a month ago.

My horse is insured with NFU. He was kicked in the field early September, claimed and had the payout from NFU within 4 to 6 weeks of sending off the paperwork. Throughout the process, I got a telephone call updating me and an e-mail to say payment was on its way. They do have very mixed reviews online but no complaints from me so far.

Glad they are paying out OK, for some people.
I've insured my horses with them for 7 years and this is my first claim. Apparantly they have sent my claim to Equine First, which I wasn't informed of, but my contract is with NFU. Equine First seem to be very disorganised.

i've got a big outstanding claim with them. first invoice was submitted in begining of august and i got the cheque for that invoice about 4 weeks ago!! the rest of the invoices were submitted end of august and begininng of sep and havent heard a thing on those. getting really worried now!

equine first are a knightmare to deal with, pm me if you want anymore details.

keep ringing them and badgering them. im at that stage. mine started in june, i had a payment of £800 in september and then last month after much hassle to them they paid £2000 to the referal vets. But they incurred me interest so i have sent them the invoice for interest aswell! I had a phonecall from MY vets last week to say they still hadnt recieved any money from nfu since september. Getting abit annoyed now.

Yes. When I submitted the claim form I called to confirm they had it and they told me it was taking 6-8 weeks for claims to be processed. 6 weeks later I called to chase it, was told was being delt with that day (;) ) I asked to be phoned as soon as it had been. Was called 2 days later. And had the cheque about 10 days after that.

Didn't you say yours was quite complicated as you were splitting the claim up? that may not be helping....

ye first equine was who i got the first and only cheque from. never heard of them before. also a bit annoyed as the agreed to settle with the vets directly, only to send me a cheque which had to clear through my bank account first so i could forward it on to the vets. i am also starting to get final demand letters from my vets
