As title says, im planning on going (just need to qualify first!) I have a couple of questions too...
1)how much is a stable per night ?
2)how much is it per class to enter and do you need to pay to enter for both days ?
Thankies in advance xx

I went about 6 years ago it was really good fun althought the classes are about 10cm more than what they are when you qualify so best to qualify a lower class than you normally jump e.g the 95cm is actually 105cm at the champs.

Can't remember how much on site stabling was but we booked stabling privately that was off site so it must have been quite expensive!

You do have to do both days i think they have a warm up class the day before it starts but i didnt go for that, then on day 1 you do a first round and a jump off (if you go clear) but only the 1st round is carried on to the next day and counts toward the champs, i think you again do a first round and a jump off on the 2nd day and the winner of this is the champ(providing you went clear in the 1st round on day1). Sorry if this makes no sense!! Also the format might have change since i went!

Hey I went last year and it was really good fun!

I echo Laf88 - on the last day the fences in the 75cm first round were about 95cm, they were massive!

The cost is also hideously expensive..Not sure how much off the top of my head, but the warm up classes were £25 each, I think the overall championship class (which counts for both classes) was about £100, and I think the stabling was around about the same for 3 nights. On top of that are other fees - my weekend came to about £400 I think with 1 champ class and 2 warm ups.

A cheaper version, you're interested, is Cricklands at David Broomes centre. You only do a double clear to qualify and the whole weekend only costs £75! This includes 5 classes (3 are warm ups and optional but you can do them at no extra fee), the stabling, camping ect.

Good luc

That's a shame that the cost has gone up so much. I went to the Champs in 2001 and 02. The classes were £20 each to enter, so that cost me £80 for 2 classes on 2 days and then the stables were about £50 for 2 nights.

I took my own food and it made it all affordable.

Think I'd look for off site stabling if I were you.

I had thought around £30 per night for stables and i thought about £15/20 a class so its a little more than i thought, will have to save up!

We qualified for the finals in 2 jumping classes last year but when the paperwork came through I was appalled.
We are in Lincolnshire and it worked out if I did the warm up classes and the two classes I had qualified for, stabling and a "maintainence fee" for Stoneleigh show centre it worked out for us to go about £450 without our accommodation so I used the money to affiliate BSJA instead.
