Has anyone bought from Amira Equi?

Sounds about right, I ordered from them, the card payment was taken & then nothing arrived. I chased & chased & they said the items were out of stock, I pointed out that the website was crap & should show when things are out of stock & that they shouldn't be taking the payment until the things are despatched. They don't even email you to tell you the order is delayed. Absolutely awful & I would never use them again. As a retailer myself I would guess that they keep minimal stock, then when an order is placed by a customer they order the items in, thus they have had payment up front.
 
I ordered a Pikeur jacket for miniTD last January, used them as they were cheapest option. It took a little while (week or so, maybe?) and I remember being a bit nervous as they didn't send any of the usual email updates (your order is being processed...dispatched...will be delivered...etc) but then the jacket just arrived out of the blue. So it was a no frills transaction, and I certainly wouldn't use if in a hurry, but I did get what I ordered.
 
I have ordered from them before, all the things I ordered were special order so took a little bit longer than normal but I didn't have any problems with them
 
Thanks for replies. I can understand that things might be out of stock, but didnt get anything to set my expectations of a delay. It's a Xmas present and they are saying they had to order from supplier. I wish they'd said on website it wasn't in stock.... Grrr.
