I wouldn't want to or be able to afford that expensive but just wondered if the quality of horses there was any good.

The ultima is great too, wasn't a great fit on Louis though unfortunately. I am a bif fan of albions, sat on quite a few saddles and it suited me the best.

Dont like its front legs at all.
Would be a worth visiting the stud though, they produce some good horses and would be nice to see a few and compare

I think I may go have a peek, they have an open day at some point so may head down and see what they are like.

I bought Holme Grove Chantelle as a 10 day old foal back in 2005, and i have been really pleased with her. When i went to visit i had several in mind (Sunray included) but just fell in love with little Tilly the moment i saw her!!

Susan who owns Holme Trakehners is so helpful and has been breeding Trakehners for decades, they use their own home bred mares as well as imported ones and are one of Europes largest Trakehner studs. Price wise, yes expensive but you are paying for decades of selective breeding and unfortunately that comes at a price. Im hoping that Tilly will make a lovely dressage horse and by looking at her now i think she will fulfill my dreams. I think you saw her full brother at your yard didn't you??

If you are interested, give Susan a call and she will send you a DVD of last years Open day. It shows all of the stallions, mares and youngstock, and there Open Day is a great day out as well. I will be going this year again, so if you did want to go we could meet up!!

If you want to know anything else just let me know, but i have been really pleased with her!!

Sorry, on the saddle front you may find the Albions do fit as they have changed their tree shape to fit the "modern" horse, so have small points and flatter trees. Bates are lovely, but are still on banana shaped trees, so dont suit flat backed horses. Hope that helps!!

Katiejaye, I think ickle orange one is lovely, but imo v.expensive!!!!!

That does help a lot thanks KatB, any other suggestions as to what else I could look at?
Sorry Katie Jaye I seem to have hijacked this post somewhat
